| Description: | This position is at our Redwood Branch located on
7 E. Redwood St., Baltimore, MD 21202.
This is a part-time position with rotating Saturday's.
Under supervision and in a training capacity, promote positive member relations by receiving and paying out money and cross selling Credit Union financial products and services.
|
| Duties: | Operations
�Detect potential fraud on accounts.
�Process loan advances.
�Process check and cash deposits from drop boxes.
�Accept cash and checks for deposit, verify the amounts and examine checks for all elements of a negotiable check, including proper endorsement and correct holds placed.
�Process cash advances and receive Visa payments.
�Cash checks by adhering to teller check cashing guidelines.
�Promote other services offered to members such as travelers checks, money orders and MECU bank checks.
�Cross train with Member Services to expand product knowledge, spending 300 hours in MSR area or demonstrating equivalent proficiency.
�Assist when needed for dual control.
Service
�Provide excellent member service by following the teller expectation guidelines.
�Maintain an organized, neat and clean work environment.
�Answer telephones by third ring and ensure proper telephone etiquette.
�Supply work area with products and services brochures to assist members.
�Educate and migrate members to the appropriate area to assist with members' needs.
�Keep errors to a minimum as described on the performance appraisal and correct errors in a timely manner.
�Continually develop teller skills, using Teller I job description as reference.
Sales
�Monitor and strive to exceed assigned referral goals.
�Maintain awareness of and contribute to overall branch goals.
Additional Responsibilities
�Attend skills enhancement-training sessions provided by MECU.
�Cross-train and assist other tellers in daily job functions.
�Participate in MECU's community outreach programs and activities.
�Perform all other duties as assigned.

| Qualifications: | High school diploma or general education degree (GED) and minimum six- (6) months customer service or teller experience. Some cash handling experience preferred. Must be proficient in the use of PC applications, typing and calculator functions. Ability to perform multiple tasks in a fast paced and challenging environment with professionalism. Must have excellent verbal communication skills.
